CasualDates is no longer a dating platform
The CasualDates domain now serves about 1.6KB of machine-generated placeholder text. The product that used to be there is gone.
What we checked
Aug 12, 2026What is there now
The domain resolves and returns a page of roughly 1,600 bytes containing generated word salad. That pattern usually means the domain has lapsed to a holder who is monetising it with automated filler rather than running anything.
It is worth being precise about the difference from a site that is simply down. This domain answers. What answers is not the platform.
Historical note
CasualDates was one of the platforms this site reviewed during its earlier life, and it was the only one in our archive with a directly recorded affiliate tracking link. That tracking network now returns a 404 as well.
If you had an account
Check your card and PayPal statements for a recurring charge, because a platform going dark does not cancel a subscription. Cancel at the payment provider rather than the site, since there is no account page left to use. Change any password you reused elsewhere.
What the placeholder page tells you
A domain serving generated filler is usually being monetised by a holder rather than run as a business, and it means the address has left the original operator's hands. Anything appearing there in future is unconnected to the platform people signed up to.
This matters for anyone who finds the domain through an old link and assumes continuity. There is none.
